We’re headed into our intricately connected final two units: “Research” and “Take a Stand.” As you’ll see as the unit progresses, this is because content for both of these two papers is similar, but written for a different audience.
When academics say “Research’ they don’t mean “cram some quotes in at the last minute that support my point of view.’ Research means going in to a topic with an open mind so that you can really learn something. Often, the best ideas are those that are a synthesis of ideas previously held or created by others.
The following two lessons will start our journey into research, then, in Section 5, we’ll continue to research as we take a stand.
